Wedding Fingerprint Tree

Everyone is looking for different ideas for a wedding guestbook. Well, I have one for you! The Fingerprint tree! It may sound odd but it looks amazing on our dinning room wall. A guestbook just sits around taking up space, but a wedding fingprint tree can proudly be presented on your wall. You can pay for one to be made for you online, or if you are crafty or know someone crafty, it can easily be made. My friend made ours by going to her local craft store and picking up some supplies. You can make the tree on many different types of paper or even wood! You can also make a stencil for the tree and paint it in. Here's an example:

For our fingerprint tree we had our names in the bottom corner with the date. This was done with a stamp made from staples, but if you have great handwriting thats always an option too! You can make as many or as little branches for your tree based on how many guests you have. If you want the theme to be for christmas you can even make a christmas tree and have fingerprints as bulbs! Our colors were burnt orange and brown but we wanted more colors for the thumbprints so we added yellow in as well. Any colors can be used for the ink pads. Make sure you have a sign that clearly states instructions for your guests to select their color ink and make a thumbprint and sign below! If you have a small wedding you can even have them write a short message.   We had our wedding party thumbprint the tree at the rehearsal as an example for the rest of the guests.

Also, don't forget to have some wipes for guests to clean their thumb off! We opted for small alcohol pads in a nice little orange bin and another orange bin labeled used alcohol pads so that guests knew where to throw them out.

The finished product:

This is a great way to always remember your wedding day and the guests that attended! It can also be customized to the season and colors. Enjoy!
